Bandanas

Instructions for measuring:

Measure loosely around the widest part of your dogs neck, on top of the fur and collar.

This is not like measuring for a collar, you want the fabric to sit comfortably on top of your dog's fur and/or collar. In most cases, if in doubt, size up!

Our bandanas have a bit of stretch to them, so will fit a range of neck sizes and go over a dog's head easily.

If your dog is borderline, or doesn't like anything tight-fitting, or has a lot of fur, we recommend sizing up.

If your dog is borderline, and can wear a larger size comfortably, there is more surface area for the embedded insect repellent on the M/L bandanas and so a larger size is more effective.

Example of fit on a dog between sizes

Winifred is a Shiba Inu. The measurement around the widest part of her neck (at the base) on top of her fur is 41cm (not accounting for her collar). She is between sizes. Due to her thicker fur and the way she wears her bandana over the top of her collar, and her preference to not be wearing anything tight fitting, it is more comfortable for her to wear the M/L size.

Winifred in the S/M size

(her neck is 41cm).

It fits, but is a little tight with her dense fur.

Winifred is more comfortable in the M/L size.

Harnesses

1. Measure around the base of the dog's neck where the harness will rest.

2. Measure the widest part of the dog's chest, just behind the armpit.

Use a soft measuring tape. Our harnesses are highly adjustable, so there is some overlap between sizes. The measurements in the table are the minimum and maximum measurements the harnesses can be adjusted to. If your dog would fit into a small, but would be on the maximum end, we would recommend purchasing a medium to allow for growth, thicker fur or wearing a winter fleece.
